Every year the Club organises an Open Day.

It's where we invite the general public to come and have a look round and even try things out. This year we are doing it a little differently because we are combining the Open Day with a Fund Raising Day to raise funds for the Sandown and Shanklin Inshore Lifeboat.

As well as having the oportunity to look round our facilites you can sit and have a leisurely cup of tea and some cake. Or you can just sit on the beach and watch the trainees showing off their sailing skills using the Club's Picos.

If you are looking for something more energetic then why not try your hand at paddle boarding with Wight Water Sports or have a trip out on a catamaran.

In the afternoon you can bring along your kayak and take part in a race from the beach and afterwards team up for a water polo match.

There will be static displays from S C Marine and Wight Water Adventure Watersports. There may even be a surprise visit from the lifeboat crew in the afternoon. Then at 5 pm there will be a family barbeque.

All the activities are open to non-Members and we have wetsuits and buoyancy aids if you need them. There will be a small charge for some activities and donations for a very worthy cause would be greatly received.
