Quay Arts welcomes back critically acclaimed Jazz musician and honey-voiced songstress Georgia Mancio in the Café Bar, Jazz Café on Fri 18 May, 8pm.

This award-winning vocalist Georgia Mancio has cemented her position as one of the UK’s brightest young jazz stars.

A natural, instinctive musician with a pure, honeyed tone, Mancio’s deceptively simple delivery is always shot through with sincerity and gravitas.

Her music is an intriguing reflection of her Anglo-Latino background. Predominantly a standards singer, she also specialises in South American and European music and is a lyricist.

It is no surprise then to hear the ease with which she switches from English to Italian to Spanish to Brazilian Portuguese in a delightful programme that ranges from jazz standards to Chilean folk, samba, blues, show-tunes, Italian pop and songs by Pat Metheny, Chick Corea and Horace Silver featuring her own new lyrics.
