Faith is a touring exhibition; merging biomedical science and art. This will be the final showing of Faith whereby the interactive experience guides the visitor to become part of an ever evolving archive of anonymous DNA samples.
Pauline Pratt has held artist residencies with The Experimental Oncology Unit at The University of Southampton School of Medicine since 2006; exploring how art and science can interact.
In particular she has looked at how the aesthetics of the science lab and the images that are created give us a certain image of science.
The most exciting part of this exhibition is the opportunity for YOU to take part. At the exhibition you can collect a sample of your own DNA and include it in the show. DNA samples become the creative material with which the art is made; your participation is required!
All DNA samples being collected during the exhibition are anonymous and are being donated to the exhibition for artistic purposes only.
