Part of Ventnor Fringe Festival 2021
Slingshot Records presents two Isle of Wight favourites on Friday 30th July as part of Ventnor Fringe Festival.
Folk rock band Slombers Woke return for a live performance hot on the heels of their album release, Somewhen. Whilst Kris Birkin with his Fallen Riders.
Slombers Woke are John Sharman (guitars and vocals), Paddy Cullen (vocals), Dave Holley (bass), Kevin Wright (guitars) and Rob Thompson (drums).
Drawing on the British song-writing tradition, the band’s songs explore such diverse issues from bereavement, to revenge in ice skating!
Erudite lyrics and strong arrangements provide the crafted backdrop over which Paddy Cullen’s rasping vocals soar.
Kris will already be known to many as the formerly guitarist with The Bees.
Performing with The Fallen Riders, Kris will be offering his original material taking the audience on a journey with his hooky, guitar riffed tunes.
Thompson: “At last… we’re back” Rob Thompson from Slingshot Records says,
“This is the first time since Lockdown that we have been able to get back out there and play live, come and join us all to celebrate our collective love of live music as part of the Ventnor Fringe.
“Hooray! At last… we’re back.”
Support comes from Phil Oswald and Mike Jolliff.
