In Colombia of the 1970s, Rapayet, torn between tradition and his desire for wealth and power, finds success when he enters the newly emerging drug trafficking trade, despite the disapproval of his tribe, the Wayúu.
He and his family are soon caught up in a dangerous, violent world, where honour is the code and debts are paid in blood.
The film is an epic and visually striking exploration of loyalty, greed, the pursuit of material wealth and the voracious nature of change.
