Messy

Join us for a free local screening of the powerful and educational film 'People are Messy' (by Theatre of Debate) which engages its audiences in an informed debate around patient and public involvement in health research.

INVOLVEMENT is where members of the public are actively involved in research projects and research organisations. This event will explore what patient and public involvement is, why involvement is important and how and why individuals might get involved.

The event is free, although registration is required as places are limited. Press 'Book tickets' or visit the Website

This event is open to all ages but, in particular, is a fantastic opportunity for students and young people looking for extracurricular activities and ways to enhance their personal development/CV. A certificate of attendance can be provided.

The event will take place within the Hullabaloo Community Festival on the Isle of Wight. We will also feature a Research Fair where you can find out more about how patients and the public can help shape and deliver improvements in health.

Hard hitting
Please note the film is "hard-hitting" and features some adult language.

Under 16s should be accompanied by an adult.

A photographer will be taking pictures throughout the event. If you do not wish for your photo to be used or shared after the event then please let a member of the staff know on the day or contact [email protected] or 01489 771027.

"This fabulous, entertaining and moving film goes to the heart of why involving patients and the public is so important to science and to society.” Simon Denegri, NIHR National Director for Patients and the Public.
