We are very pleased to announce that hugely acclaimed Poet and author Aidan Andrew Dun is to read and perform at Dimbola on Sunday 16th October from 7:30pm.

Aidan Andrew Dun was propelled to fame when in 1995 his publisher hired the Royal Albert Hall to launch his epic poem, Vale Royal, a work which had taken twenty-three years to write. Four thousand people heard him recite at the biggest poetry event in Britain in the last thirty years.

Since then Aidan AD has gone to produce four more epic poems including Unholyland (Skyscraper Publications, 2016) and two collections of shorter poems as well as a monograph on the essential French poet, Arthur Rimbaud.

In performance Aidan AD sets his poems and lyrics over genres from dub to ambient electronica, playing guitar-synth and acoustic; while more classical impressionistic poem-settings are handled by Lucie Rejchrtova, Prague classically rained keyboardist from Prague who has also played with the sixties icon Arthur Brown. The evening will therefore be a mixture of poetry and music.

An evening not to be forgotten, as it is also a launch of their new album Honeyland, released two days prior to the performance by cutting-edge American classical label Ravello.

Tickets are £8 and available from Dimbola or by phoning us on 01983 756814 (please note our opening hours are Tuesday-Sunday 10am-4pm)
