At Ryde Academy we have a passion for learning. We believe that all young people deserve to become world class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in an aspirational educational establishment, with the best teachers and the most up to date resources available to them.

At Ryde Academy we offer a broad range of academic and vocational courses.

With improving exam results in Maths and English we have a clear focus to continue with this upward trend.

Enrichment is encouraged through motivational and guest speakers and activities such as Global Rock, mentoring, Student Council and Prefects.

Educational trips have included work placements in Valencia (Post 16), Year 8 trip to Pompeii and skiing in Austria. This year some of our students have the chance to visit Berlin/Krakow and Iceland.

We are an Academy at the heart of our community which fosters a love of learning, mutual respect and achievement.

Literacy skills for life are a focus at Ryde Academy. We recognise that literacy is the key to success in academic study and life beyond school. Therefore the three literacy skills of reading, writing and speaking & listening are central to our lessons.

As an Academy it is important to us that our students are successful readers who are not only reading for pleasure, but reading at the correct level for their age.
