26th May - The Isle of Wight Festival of Transport
Admire the workmanship, enjoy the memories and expect to be surprised!
Featuring an array of railway and road vehicles of all shapes and sizes, the focus will be on transport from the last 60 years … And this is your chance to contribute to the Show!
Whether your car, bicycle, road engine, truck, wagon or old charabanc is a rare vintage marque, a smartly polished classic, or just an old banger, if it’s your ‘pride and joy’ come and display it at Havenstreet Station for the day! (All vehicles to be on-site by 10.00am and remain for the day until 4pm.)
Or if you just love cars and heritage transport come and see them all displayed! Every vehicle on display is someone’s pride and joy, and they want to show it off to you!
Plus there will be a full two-train service of steam trains reminiscent of Island transport in days gone by.
To complete the weekend there will be music from the Five O’Clock Shadows at 11.30 and 2.00 each day, and the Songbirds choir will be performing at 2pm.
Plus there’s stuff for the youngsters with a bouncy castle and the Children’s Play Area, a full range of refreshments, stalls and displays, and the opportunity to visit our Carriage & Wagon workshop.
Tickets – FREE Admission
Steam Train fares: Adult £10.50, Child (5-15) £5.50, Infant (0-4) FREE, Family £26.50 (2 Adults & 2 Children).
