This is a PACKED out night featuring a whole range of great Island Bands. Tickets are just £4 with all money going to Naomi House and Layla's Trust Charities.
Starting the evening off are THE GOLDEN STRANDS
This 4 piece, with an inide/rock edge are becoming firm favourites on the festival circuit, with V-Dub, Post Fest and Bestival under their musical belts, as well as numerous mainland gigs.
If you haven't had the pleasure of hearing them yet then now is your chance, get in quick...Doors Open at 7 and these guys will be getting us in the mood straight away. http://www.thegoldenstrands.com/
THE WIGHT HOT CHILLI PEPPERS
Next on the bill we have a very talented bunch who perform in various guises.
Approaching the end of their studies with Platform 1 Music College, they have developed and honed their musical skills. If you follow the Original Music scene on the Island then their faces will be familiar to you, but on this occasion they are knocking out some of the great Chilli Peppers classics. Starting as a college project they have played out in this covers set up on a few occasions now. With more energy than even their young years should allow, the put on a great show, with a high standard of musical talent to boot.
This is one where you wont be able to help but sing along.
BULLY BONES
Taking the island scene by storm there has been no stopping these lads since they launched in the later part of last year. Quietly working away developing a great sound, and fantastic songs, they have truly exploded onto the music scene. Quickly gathering a huge amount of respect and support for what is a truly fresh sound. Recently played on BBC Introducing we are hoping that the rest of the world catch on pretty soon.
If you like your rock with a punky edge then these are your boys, and lead singers Charlie's ability to swing his hips is something not to be missed. https://soundcloud.com/bullybones
RED ROCK
These lads are still so young, but have been around for a good few years now. Their talent is truly outstanding, and they are jolly nice chaps too.
With a set list of some great bluesy rock, you wont be disappointed. Super strong guitar riffs from lead singer Keir, beautiful bass (along with lovely hair) from Dev and knocking out the drum solos is the smiley Ollie.
Along with some classic covers, you might even be lucky enough to hear a taster of their original stuff, its all goooood.
They really know how to please a crowd so be sure to enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/user/RedRockIOW?feature=mhee
RIFF RAFF
There first gig was a huge success last year, but were the pubs ready for a truly heavy rock band. Well the answer is a definite YES. They are firm favourites on the pub gig scene. With an ever expanding set list, and followers to boot, these lovely chaps will be putting the ROCK into the night good and proper.
So if its AC/DC, Led Zep, Sabath and the like that rock your boat then save some energy for this lot. https://twitter.com/RiffRaffIOW
BREED
To finish off the evening we have something brand new for you. Things have never been the same since PDQ departed the circuit, its left a gap, and people have been waiting for the reunion. Well PDQ are no more, BUT this 4 piece have risen again to become BREED. The same charming line up but with a twist, a new set list, new energy, same BIG sounds. Come and make BREEDS first outing one to remember
