Jacqui hicks 400

With food by Robert Thompson

Sunday 21 April, 12 noon, Festival Marquee. £20

Good food and brilliant music come together when Michelin-starred chef Robert Thompson of The Hambrough teams up with jazz singer and clarinetist Jacqui Hicks to create a relaxing Sunday Jazz Brunch session in our Festival Marquee.

A classically trained clarinettist, Jacqui Hicks is famed for her work with Shakatak and Julian Marc Stringle’s Dream Band. She studied saxophone & flute on the jazz course at Leeds College of Music and started singing during her three years there. Jazz maestro Digby Fairweather describes her as “the best we have”. She will be accompanied by Island musicians Jim Thorn on piano, Ken Black on drums and John Thorne on double bass.

Inspired to cook by his brother Patrick at 10 years of age, Robert Thompson, has won nearly every cooking accolade going. He is responsible for the superb food served at both The Hambrough in Ventnor and the Pond Café in Bonchurch. Robert is rightly famous for his use of the best produce the Island has to offer, and is a Food Ambassador for the Island.

Tickets to this event also include a complementary glass of bubbly.
