The Isle of Wight Soapbox Challenge returns for its sixth year.

Pan Together are pleased to announce that The Isle of Wight Soapbox Derby Challenge is returning for its sixth consecutive year.

The one day event is focused on young people aged between 12 -20 years racing go karts that they have made, over a purpose built course.

The Derby has gone from strength to strength since 2005 with last year’s event having over 20 teams enter and attracting over 1000 spectators.

In addition to the racing the one day event promises entertainment for the whole family offering refreshments, stalls, play rangers, falconry display, inflatables, Live music and lots more for all ages.

Entry is free to both spectators and competitors alike.

The Soapbox Derby will be held on Sunday 26th June (subject to confirmation) next to the Isobel Centre, Furrlongs, Newport.

Deadline for entries is 12th June.
