After an early start in classical singing Nina moved into design careers in Theatre and Film then retrained in Jazz over lockdown. The common thread through her art is her fascination with the different ways in which we express emotion and how we connect with one another through them. Our emotional stories.

With storytelling at the forefront Nina sings with a purity of sound and a touch of folk. She looks to weave between the shifting lines of light and dark, hope and melancholy, joy and sorrow.

Nina takes inspiration from a variety of music genres including alternative/art pop, jazz, folk and classical. Her influences include Beth Gibbons (Portishead), Nina Simone, Billie Holiday and Norma Winstone.

Enjoy a pared down relaxed approach as Nina delivers a set of known and less well-known songs from the American Songbook such as Round Midnight, Skylark, I’m a Fool to Want You and Wild is the Wind, along with a jazz approach to contemporary songs by Portishead, David Bowie and Joni Mitchell.
