Jazz singer Nina Ross has “a voice like a bird. A bird in the dark lit by the moon.” An Isle of Wight local with a childhood spent singing classical music she emerged from covid lockdowns with a renewed voice. With storytelling at the forefront Nina sings with a purity of sound and a touch of folk. She looks to thread between the shifting lines of light and dark, hope and melancholy, joy and sorrow. With eclectic influences Nina’s music comes with a sense of exploration, longing and release.

So, enjoy a pared down relaxed approach as she delivers a set of known and less well-known songs form the American Songbook along with a jazz approach to contemporary songs by the likes of David Bowie and Joni Mitchell.

Currently making a name for herself in jazz Nina has sung Island wide, in London - including The Vortex and Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club and in Slovenia. She will be playing tonight with talented local pianist Tom Barker.
