Two concerts in support of the National Butterfly Conservation Charity will be held at St Catherine's Church, Ventnor on Friday, September 17th and Saturday, September 18th.
Friday, 17th September
Cephalodidge - didgeridoo player and ambient musician who appeared at Folk Station this summer and at Ventnor Fringe.
Deborah Hodgson - a singer/songwriter with a great voice who Vaguely Sunny first met at the Isle of Wight Festival last year after she had played in the Big Top on the Saturday.
Island born guitarist Adam Kirk will also be taking part. After attending Music College in Leeds, Adam worked with the Bronte Brothers, Tanita Tikaram and Sinead Lohan, before landing a role as the guiatrist in Joan Baez's stage band in the mid-nineties. Adam remained in the band for several years, and subsequently emigrated to Mill Valley, California where he still lives. Adam is currently back on the Island on holiday, visiting his family and has kindly agreed to take part in the concert where he will be accompanying singer/songwriter Deborah Hodgson.
Luke Steen - Ventnor-based musician who has just completed his BA in Music at Platform One. He is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in All Seasons Ale Club.
Michael Champion - Michael is guitarist/vocalist with The Shutes.
Rob Wilson - Ventnor's resident butterfly expert who is also a musician.
Saturday, 18th September
Paul Armfield - needs no introduction
Deborah Hodgson - see above
Holly Kirby - this will be Holly's last Isle of Wight appearance before she goes to Surrey University to study Advanced Music Technology.
The Halsey Duo - classical music from James Halsey (cello) and his daughter Sally (piano)
Rob Wilson - see above.
