Half a Sixpence tells the story of Arthur Kipps’ life from orphan to adult where he is working in a drapers’ shop.
He unexpectedly inherits a fortune from his Grandfather and gains social standing and interest from the ladies only to quickly loose it all.
Kipps learns that you cannot buy happiness. Our fantastic cast of energetic and enthusiastic 9 to 18 year olds will perform classic songs from the show such as ‘Proper Gentleman’ and ‘Flash Bang Wallop’ to ensure this will be a classic and memorable evening.
Having raised over £400 for Barnados last year, this year we will be supporting the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. By arrangement with Warner/Chappell Music Ltd.A musical based on the novel ‘Kipps’ by HG Wells, book by Beverley Cross.
