The West Collection includes work from one of the leading studio potters of the 20th century, Lucie Rie.

In this four day course we will be looking at her work amongst other inspirational pieces from the exhibition and using either thrown forms or hand building techniques to produce some composite forms examining the more sculptural aspects of studio ceramics.

Taking time to develop ideas from the exhibition, we will use porcelain and stoneware clays, gas and electric firings to create high temperature finishes for your final forms. Materials provided.
