Learn a bit about the tradition of hats as symbols of solidarity before transforming everyday materials into vibrant wearable art to celebrate community, solidarity and sustainability. No crafting experience needed, just creativity and a playful spirit! We encourage people to return to the Palace Party on Sunday 18th May to show off your creations.

Joel Lines, is a recent St Martins Fashion graduate. His garments are in the collection of Grayson Perry. Last year Joel helped Sandown Carnival Association revive the wearing of hats at the Sandown Bay Regatta.
