West Wight Arts Association concert September 17th 2022

The first concert of the West Wight Arts Association’s new season will be given on Saturday September 17th by the ECHO Rising Star horn player Ben Goldscheider and acclaimed pianist Richard Uttley. Ben is a member of the Pierre Boulez Ensemble and principal horn of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. He was a BBC Young Musician Concerto Finalist in 2016. Richard has been recognised for his ‘musical intelligence and pristine facility’ (International Record Review), ‘amazing decisiveness’, and ‘tumultuous performance’ (Ivan Hewett, The Daily Telegraph).

They will play works by Jörg Widmann, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Mark Simpson, Volker David Kirchner and York Bowen.

The concert will take place at Freshwater Memorial Hall starting at 7.00 pm (please note start time). Full details at www.westwightarts.co.uk.
