'Music on a Distant Shore' was runner up in the theatre group's playwriting competition, which attracted entries from all over the world.

It is a funny and poignant look at how a bereaved wife, Elaine, and her teenage son Kevin struggle to build a new life for themselves, while keeping a connection with the man who had such an influence on them, and who they miss so much.

It features live Scottish fiddle music, and the cast also includes Alma, the medium with a dubious past, and Arthur, who has a special reason for continuing to employ Elaine, despite her dismal record at telephone sales.
