Vol 2

Celebrating the changing seasons and beginning of the autumn months, Ventnor Botanic Garden Friends’ Society will be holding an Autumn Plants and Produce sale on the 15th September.

The Sale will take place on the Top Lawn at Ventnor Botanic Garden, entry is completely free and there are no additional charges for parking. The sale begins at 10.30am and will run until 4pm.

The Friends are asking their members and friends to bring plants, seeds, seasonal fruit, jams, chutneys and other baked goods for sale and chef, Martyn Cutler, will be donating some of his popular cakes. In addition, all the plants from the Ventnor Botanic Garden sales area will be offered and there will be some great bargains!

There will also be a chance to talk to members of the Friends’ Society and learn about the great work they do supporting the Garden.

Rosemary Stewart, Secretary of the Friends’ Society, commented, ‘We hope this sale will raise vital funds to aid the Friends’ Society in all that they do, from developing Ventnor Botanic Garden further to bringing school groups to benefit from the facilities and learn about nature and their environment. Visitors can learn more about the Volunteering roles and other opportunities available, supported by the Friends’ Society.’

If you would like to donate any plants, seeds, baked goods or anything else you think would make a great addition to the sale please contact Rosemary Stewart on (01983) 292107 or 07779477101.
