The largest event in the Hospice’s, and the Island’s, fundraising calendar returns on Sunday 12th May when upwards of 10,000 people will lace up their walking boots to take on one of the 4 walks that make up Walk the Wight.

There is the original Main Walk of 26.5 miles from Bembridge to the Needles at Alum Bay. This main walk is also broken down into two stages. There is the 12.5 mile stretch between Bembridge and Carisbrooke, and the 14 mile stomp from Carisbrooke to the finish at Alum Bay.

There is also the popular Flat Walk, an approximately 8 miles long walk from Sandown High School to Thompson’s Trees, Shide, Newport. Registration is free but compulsory, all participants are required to raise sponsorship or make a donation to Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
