Quay Arts’ award-winning Café Bar is the place to dine out if you love good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Innovative head chef, Martyn Cutler, whose Michelin experience in France and his consistent commitment to sourcing the best seasonal, organic and local produce, means that the Café’s popularity is ever increasing.

The simplistic and straightforward approach to his menu appeals to all types of tastes.

Martyn says: ‘I like to cook with the freshest and best possible quality ingredients that we can source. Visitors can expect unpretentious, exquisite and reasonably priced food. I draw my inspiration for the daily specials menu when I receive my early morning delivery of seasonal vegetables, fruit, meat, poultry and fish.’

Serving lunches daily, as well as our newly introduced Gourmet Evenings Menu, with Organic Gourmet Evening just around the corner, diners can enjoy a range of choices from Lamb Noisette’s stuffed with Apricots served with Rosemary Infused Meat Juices to Beetroot, Spinach and Goats Cheese Pie.

At our popular monthly Jazz Café evening diners can be assured of reliable and trusted favourites; everything from homemade soups to Island caught Crab Pate or organic Lamb Burgers served with Island tomato chutney. Martyn is determined to keep his menu innovative and delightful to enchant the most discerning palates.

The Café Bar also surrounds visitors with a showcase of rotating exhibitions on its walls currently offering works by outstanding Island artist who are all part of this year’s Open Studios 2010.

Quay Arts has three other galleries, a bijou theatre, a craft shop showing over 60 artist-makers work plus an exciting programme of workshops and classes to fulfill your creativity, for the experienced and beginners and a range of live events from dance, theatre, comedy, literature and music.
