The Fairlee and Victoria Road Residents Association have organised a family fun day on Saturday 7th August to open their newly enhanced amenity area.

The family fun day will run from 10.30am to 3pm and will include a bouncy castle, barbecue, fancy dress competitions, live music and refreshments. There will also be entertainment by David Randini.

The amenity area was enhanced through a project with Newport Parish Council and a grant from the Big Lottery Fund. The funds provided extra seating, picnic tables and a litter bin. The area covers Victoria Road, St Pauls View Road and part of Fairlee Road.

There are approximately 300 residents with a large age range from 0 to 90.

The residents were keen to enhance the area to be accessible to all. A footpath and cycle track abuts the area, so visitors can also enjoy the amenities.
