Island music promoters Vaguely Sunny arre organizing their 150th gig since they began promoting music in 1996.

The Homemade 2 event will take place at Dimbola Lodge, Freshwater Bay on Saturday, July 17th at 8.00pm.

Appearing will be :

Michael Champion - Michael was formerly a member of that excellent Island band The Hoops and he and fellow band member Zoe Eady performed at the first Homemade event at Dimbola in 2008. Michael's current band is The Shutes , but he is also an interesting solo artist, as evidenced by his set supporting Nick Harper at the Steamer Inn, Shanklin earlier this year.

Holly Kirby - whose sell-out launch gig at Quayy Arts in May for her excellent debut CD 'A Woman You Don't Know' went down very well. If you haven't got a copy of the album yet they can now be obtained from HMV in Newport. Holly played two impressive sets at the Isle of Wight Festival in the Kasmir Cafe and on the Acoustic Stage. Hosanna Rhythms - a gospel/praise band with harmony vocals which includes Anthony Truckell and Tom Gardner - both well known from their previous bands Motion Pictures and Drew.

There will also be an opportunity to view Charles Everest's superb photographs of the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival which are currently on display at Dimbola.

Refreshments will be available, but please be aware that Dimbola does not have a licence, so if you want a beer please bring your own.
