The Bonchurch Theatre Company are staging a performance of a new play on Monday, 31st May, Saturday, 5th June and Sunday 6th June.
The play - written by John Goodwin - is about the life of the great Victorian poet Algernon Swinburne, who grew up in Bonchurch, and who is buried along with the rest of his family at St Boniface Church.
Swinburne had a close relationship with his cousin Mary Gortdon who he visited at Northcourt, Shorwell and later in his life at The Orchard, Niton Undercliff.
The play will be staged both outside and inside at East Dene and also in the churchyard at St Boniface.
Audience numbers will be limited to 35 per performance and all performances are at 3.00pm.
