Mark is a skilled, enthusiastic, knowledgeable speaker who gives talks and study on areas of which he has written, and other areas within 20th century design and Decorative Arts.
The morning will consist of two illustrated lectures beginning at 10.30:
Legends of Czech Glass:
The lecture will reveal the work of seven influential designers across cut, blown and pressed glass and consider the economic and political context that affected it.
Tea/Coffee break: 11.30 – 12.00
20th Century Glass – New Markets: This lecture gives an overview of the most rapidly developing, popular and recently Revealed areas in mid-century modern European glass, including Medina Glass and Wedgewood Glass
13.00 – 14.00: Buffet Lunch and tea/coffee served in the Rope Room.
14.15: Guests are invited to bring along a glass object for identification and valuation by Mark.
