This is a botanical themed drawing and painting workshop led by accomplished artist, illustrator and tutor, Lucia Para. Starting with simple warm up techniques based on observational drawing from fresh flowers, participants will explore shape and form using collage and stencil, exploring the journey towards abstraction, keeping as a compass the impression of fresh flowers on their individual perception.

This workshop retraces the steps of the artistic process that Lucia follows – from real flower studies to her more abstracted floral artworks (on display in the café in her exhibition FLORA).
