Charles, a troubled Parisian taxi driver is sent to pick up lively 92-year-old Madeleine on the day she moves out of her house for the last time. She wants him to drive her around the city looking at her old haunts before she reluctantly moves in to a care home, and the unlikely pair bond over the course of the long, meandering, sometimes eventful journey. We follow their journey past the Paris landmarks, but Madeleine's back story includes flashbacks to some harrowing events in her past.
