Over a single day in a sun-dappled Tunisian fig tree orchard, a group of workers gather to bring in the harvest. While the older women sit packing in the shade, the youngsters climb the trees to pick the fruit.

Small dramas unfold as they chat, bicker and flirt together. Courtship rituals play out away from watchful adult eyes, friendships and enmities flourish and quarrels spark, as we peer through the branches at life in the countryside of modern Tunisia.
