After 40 years away, Felice returns to Naples to visit his ailing mother. As he explores his memories of the streets and people of his youth, he finds a city torn between the Church and the Camorra gangsters.

Haunted by a killing in his past, he resolves to track down his closest friend, only to find he has become a brutal mobster. The scene is set for a tense confrontation amid the twisting alleys of the city, and we find that returning to the past is not as simple as it may seem.
