We’re Going On A Shark Hunt!
Join SharkLab LiVE! for a 6 day Eggpedition this Easter 2023, along beautiful sandy beaches of Sandown, which is part of the Bembridge Marine Conservation Zone. (From 8th - 15th April 2023)
During each day’s 2-3.5hr eggpedition, we will hunt for empty Shark Eggs, to help identify which Shark Pups have hatched in around the island this Spring.
Data collected will help scientists to monitor the health or decline of these special sharks that live around the Isle of Wight.
Suitable for families, pushchairs and those with mobility challenges
Sat 8th April 2023 3 - 5pm Meet at: Small Hope Beach Carpark, Hope Hill, Shanklin
Shark Egg Hunt Survey covering 1.1 miles
Beach survey from Small Hope Beach along Lake promenade, finishing at either Wight Water/Tradewinds Beach Café… OR Fins Beach Café (depending on time)!
Wed 12th April 11am - 1pm Meet at: South East Beach Cafe - Hope Hill Esplanade - Shanklin
Beach Shark Egg Hunt Survey covering 0.5miles

Dress for the weather, bring refreshments, wear sturdy boots or wellies, High Viz Vests provided
