We’re Going On A Shark Hunt!
Join SharkLab LiVE! for a 6 day Eggpedition this Easter 2023, along beautiful sandy beaches of Sandown, which is part of the Bembridge Marine Conservation Zone. (From 8th - 15th April 2023)
During each day’s 2-3hr eggpedition, we will hunt for empty Shark Eggs, to help identify which Shark Pups have hatched in around the island this Spring.
Data collected will help scientists to monitor the health or decline of these special sharks that live around the Isle of Wight.
Suitable for Adults Only, as we will be surveying beneath Luccombe Cliffs, across rock pools and rough terrain.
These Adult Only Shark Egg Surveys, are upto 2.5hrs long, and take us to the base of Culver Cliffs and Luccombe Cliffs, which is rocky, and can only be surveyed when the tide is low.
Participants can stay for as long or as little as they would like.
