Monkton Arts are proud to present an evening with singer-songwriter Polly Paulusma with Bass player Jon Thorne

Polly Paulusma has been working on her sixth album release, ‘Unopened Letters’, since Christmas last year, collaborating with bass player, Jon Thorne. Paulusma and Thorne toured together in the autumn of 2022, forging a profound musical connection. This short series of gigs precedes their entry into studio with renowned producer Ethan Johns to commit ‘Letters’ to tape. Paulusma’s debut album ’Scissors in my Pocket’, was released in 2004 on Bjork’s label One Little Independent. Thorne first emerged as a double bassist and producer in the late '90s lending his distinctive sound to electronica outfit Lamb. This association led to many versatile pairings with acts as diverse as Donovan, Kathryn Williams, Jesca Hoop and Jon Hopkins.
