The Way Forward Programme, stationed on the Isle of Wight, is a dedicated group that ardently supports adults with learning disabilities.
On 6th December, this commendable organisation is set to host a show at the Medina Theatre titled ‘The Journey to the Lamp’.
The programme cordially invites fellow islanders to partake in this enchanting event, extending an open invitation to one and all who wish to attend the show.
With the hope of witnessing a full house, the organisation encourages locals to not only attend but also to promote the event within their workplaces, sharing posters and spreading the word amongst colleagues and anyone potentially interested in the show.
Underscoring the significance of audience presence, the organisers highlight that a bustling audience would immensely mean a lot to the performers, who have diligently worked for six months to bring this spectacle to life.
The participants, dedicating half a year to craft and perfect their performances, present these shows bi-annually, evidently thriving and drawing energy from an engaged and responsive audience.
Moreover, the event is not merely a showcase of talent and dedication but also a crucial fundraiser for the Way Forward Programme.
The funds collected from ticket sales of ‘The Journey to the Lamp’ are earmarked to finance the organisation’s forthcoming show. These resources will also support various other group activities and sessions hosted at the centre.
Amongst these are art and bowling groups, as well as exciting excursions to notable attractions like Paulton's Park.
