The microprocessor has been with us for a little more than 50 years, several candidates for the first microprocessor were introduced in a short period between 1968 and 1971. This presentation is an opportunity to review these devices and examine the technological breakthroughs that enabled their production.
(The Bargeman's Rest Function Room is the venue - please direct any event queries to the IET, not the venue. We are in the process of adding the event and registration link to the main IET events page - please revisit if not immediately found. Thanks)
The IET (The Institution of Engineering & Technology) has a Solent Network and an Isle of Wight Section. The local volunteer committee endeavour to organise a number of lectures/presentations each academic year. These will be listed here and at the IET's main events page: https://events.theiet.org/events. (Local contact: [email protected])
