This years Careers Fair organised by Careers Development Group on April the 4th looks set to be one of the largest ever held on the Isle Of Wight with over twenty employers confirmed to attend and who in total employ over a third of the islands workforce

Those confirmed to attend include Neutrik, Mountjoy, NHS, Betapac, Blade Dynamics, Island Roads, Annuity Direct, Lloyds TSB, Rapanui, Performance in People, Wight Salads Group, Southern Housing, In Flight Peripherals, Datum Electronics, Parlex, Pertemps, WP Recruitment, UKSA, PGL, SCIO Healthcare, and Army Careers.

Also present will be HTP, Smart, Island Training and the Care Learning Centre who will be on hand to offer advice and guidance on what paths to take in order to take up the opportunities on offer from local employers

There will also be a self employment zone aimed at those hoping to start there own business with experts from The Chamber of Commerce’s Isle Works Team, Laurence Keynes from Job Centre Plus as well as a representative from Lloyds TSB on hand to offer advice and guidance on how to set up your own business

The event will be opened by Visit the Isle of Wight’s new head of tourism David Thornton and is free of charge to attend

It will be held at Newport Football Club, St Georges Way, Newport between 11:00 and 15:00 and is free and open to all
