Paint , Pastel and Print returns to Quarr Abbey
Three Island artists return to the Art Gallery at Quarr Abbey on the 11 October with their exhibition ‘Paint, Pastel and Print‘.
Becky Samuelson from St Helen‘s, who is a member of the Society of Women Artists and the Hilliard Society and has been a full time artist for thirty years will be exhibiting new paintings and prints mainly inspired by the island and her travels abroad. Becky is an art tutor and regularly contributes to the Leisure Painter magazine.
Ryde artist Peter Allen will be showing landscape and seascape paintings in both acrylic and pastel. Peter works both outdoors and in his studio where visitors are always welcome, located at the People’s Gallery in Ryde High Street.
Lyndy Moles, also from Ryde has recently completed her MA in Illustration. For this exhibition Lyndy has created layered images, combining print with related maps to achieve an almost abstract piece of work. Lyndy has recently exhibited at Blickling Hall in Norfolk and at the Clayden Gallery at Quay Arts in Newport.
All three artists will have work in progress on the easel during the exhibition and welcome visitors to come and have a chat.
The exhibition runs until Tuesday 16 October and is open between 10 and 4.30 each day and admission is free.
