The Island Highland Gathering is an exciting full day of Scottish music and culture. Pipe bands from far and near on display and in competition with official adjudicators making this a truly authentic Highland Gathering.

Highland and scottish dancers, and the traditional triathlon games including caber tossing and a day full of other ,musical entertainment including the awesome Wight Hot Pipes makes this a unique and entertaining family day out.

Special added attraction this year is the re enactment group of the 1st Battalion 42nd Highland Regiment of Foot (1815)

It is the only event of its kind on the Isle of Wight, delivering traditional Scottish music, food, drink and games and competitions to the public. With all the fun of Robin Hill Park this is a great day out for the whole family and is all included in the regular ticket price for the park

The event has a strong charitable aspect in raising money for the island's Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
