The Anthony Minghella is set to stage the dark and thrilling tale of The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde by European Arts Company on Sat 20 March, 8pm.
You are invited to take a trip down the smoggy, gas-lit alleyways of Victorian London to hear The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Following the heady success of The Pickwick Papers & The Picture of Dorian Gray, European Arts Company once again wows with this exceptional performance.
Set against the background of the White chapel murders which caused the original London stage production to be cancelled. Inside a Whitechapel tavern in 1888, a versatile ensemble cast will tell the gruesome story of Dr Jekyll and his charismatic alter-ego using only the things you would find in a pub. Therefore, barrels, tankards, darts, brasses, bar stools, soda siphons, billiard cues, yards of ale and even Aunt Sally are used to create the physical world of Victorian London with great ingenuity, horror and imagination.
Come, if you dare and witness a chilling, thrilling and highly entertaining reinvention of this classic tale.
