Join local artist and basketmaker Tim Johnson to make you own Scran Bag or Frail. Once commonly used by farmers and workmen to carry lunch, tools and belongings, they work just as well today for a picnic, as a handbag or a camera case.

Using soft pliable materials like rush, grasses and iris leaves, long plaits or braids are woven and then hand stitched together to the dimensions required. Participants can make their own Scran Bag or a basket of their own design using braid and stitch techniques.
