Jazz Café: John Etheridge & Kate Daniels Quartet with Alec Dankworth and Mike Piggott

John Etheridge’s huge reputation throughout the jazz world and beyond has been honed on years of refusing to accommodate musical boundaries. He toured and recorded with the iconic Stephane Grappelli whilst simultaneously doing the same with legendary jazz-fusion group, The Soft Machine. Equally at home on acoustic and electric guitar, he has played with John Williams, Yehudi Menuhin, Dizzie Gillespie and countless others.

Kate Daniels is a vocalist, pianist and songwriter returned recently to the British jazz scene with album ‘Atmospherics’ featuring many of her own arrangements of standards in a style she calls Jazz Noir. Originally an actor, founder of an all-woman Jump Jive band The Blue Stockings and member of acapella ensemble, Pocket Cabaret, Kate performs regularly with musicians such as John Etheridge, John Horler and saxophone player and clarinettist Tony Coe.
