Next Sunday 4th of May from 12pm Sir Alan Massey will be carrying out the official dedication ceremony of our new lifeboat followed, with the assistance of the Freshwater Bay Residents Association, by a promenade party.

Music from the Wight Diamonds band, the Slipshod singers and the Hillmans Blues band.

There will entertainment for the children, a barbeque provided by Thornes butchers and real ale from Yates brewery – but of course please feel free to bring your own picnic and join in the fun.

The lifeboat shop will of course be open as usual for ice cream etc. Oh – and pray for good weather!
