Quay Arts’ youth group Young Quay invited UK based artists to submit work responding to the theme ‘self’; an exhibition entirely created by Young Quay.

Young Quay are team of 9 students (ages 14 – 17) from the Isle of Wight who have been working under the guidance of Quay Arts' Visual Arts Team to curate an exhibition in The West Gallery. The group have been working together since September 2013 on curatorial processes and exploring practical, studio-based art sessions with selected guest artists.

For this talk, they will discuss how they produced the exhibition and why they chose 'self' as a the theme. Their journey as a group of young budding artists and curators will also be presented.

This event is free and we will also be announcing one artist from the exhibition to win the £250 cash prize.
