Amen Promotions in association with Quay Arts presents award-winning Texas bluesman Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges.

Eugene comes from a musical background rich in gospel, blues and R&B. Born in 1963, the Texan inherited his guitar skills from his father, blues guitarist Hideaway Slim and his distinctive voice from his mother, cousin to Tina Turner.

He is a man blessed with a level of craftsmanship far beyond his years and is the man who may just hold the gift to the future of blues. A towering man with a huge voice, playing an unparalleled brand of blues, oozing enough genuine charm to light up a small city. If you like your blues music laced with soul, funk, gospel and rock, delivered with buckets of class and warmth, Eugene’s musical performance should not be missed.

Four times nominated at The USA Blues Music Awards Eugene has been awarded Soul Blues Artist / Album of the year 2008 & 2010 and vocalist of the year by the UK's Blueprint magazine. MOJO Magazine recently described him as ‘Eugenius'.

With his eighth studio album, ‘Roots & Vines’, Eugene has put together an eclectic, retrospective collection of thirteen of his own songs and four covers. Moving from a traditional song learnt in church as a young child, to songs about his life, travel, lost loves and a treasured 1981 Datsun 720 truck Nelly Bell!
