Impact Ryde is a family-friendly community event that features free live music, children’s activities and the opportunity to hear more about the Christian faith.

Impact Ryde will take place on Saturday 17th August, between 12 & 4pm. The event is now in its second year and hopes to return even bigger than before, with Welsh folk-rock band, ‘Written in Kings’, hoping to get everyone’s feet-tapping. The five-piece band was recently selected as ‘Artist of the Week’ with their single ‘Fun’ by BBC ‘Introducing Wales’.

‘I strongly recommend you watch their videos or go to their live shows if you want to hear some proper live music and being filled with a lot of positive energy,’ says Nicole Venglovica, Editor of ‘True Music’ magazine.

Singer and songwriter Jacob Lloyd will be performing a solo acoustic set that is perfect for the beach-side setting. Combining real life, heartfelt lyrics with a laidback acoustic feel, Jacob, at just 16 years old, possesses a level of depth and maturity rarely found in others his age.

As well as the live music, local Christians will be talking about the message of Christianity and how it is still relevant 2000 years on. You will hear how Jesus continues to impact the lives of people with insightful life stories.

Meanwhile, off-stage, the café tent will be providing free drinks and homemade cakes, and a burger van will be offering burgers and hot dogs in return for donations. Children are welcome to come along and check out the Kids’ Zone, which will have a variety of free activities.

Organisers, Mel and Adam Denley said, ‘We are really excited about doing Impact Ryde again. We want to get alongside the people of our local community to let them know that the church cares and to share how the Bible changes real lives today.’
