Garlic festival

The Garlic Festival returns for another year. The annual event takes place from 10am to 6pm on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August 2013.

The Isle of Wight Garlic festival is the Island’s biggest summer show and ‘One of Britain’s Top Ten food festivals’.

It's fun, it's foodie, it offers a huge variety of entertainments, and it's great value for money!

Foodie heaven
At the heart of the Garlic festival is always Britain’s best most pungent garlic, produced right here in Newchurch by the multi-award winning Garlic Farm.

As ever, it’s not just a load of garlic and amazing garlic products. Island food compares with the world’s best; Meats, vegetables, cheese, honey, wine, cider and juices. This year an expanded cookery demonstration area will be a bigger part of the show. A mystery celebrity chef will showcase some brilliant garlic recipes too.

Music
The main stage features several chart toppers.

Already booked for this year; ‘SECRET AFFAIR’ and the one and only heart-throb, CHESNEY HAWKES. The best local bands play too.

Wandering musicians and a one-man band complete the line-up, providing great atmosphere all around the festival site.

Refreshments
Quench your thirst in the beer tent and enjoy fabulous ales and ciders made on the Isle of Wight.

Why not take a genteel stroll to the delights of the tea tent for cream teas and all manner of perfect pastries and dainty snacks.

Kids
The little children can enjoy bouncy fun on festival inflatables, older kids can go screaming mad on the Island's biggest funfair rides.

There will be entertainers galore and face painters. You don't have to be a child to love David Randini's traditional Punch & Judy show and magic tricks, or Martin Simpson's fascinating fossil talks.

Festival arena
The festival arena will feature all sorts of talent, both human and animal, while our wandering entertainers include a one-man band and stilt walkers. You can also join in with a free circus skills and theatre workshops.

Adults are £8.50
Concessions £7.50
Children 5-15 £5
Under 5s Free

Dogs are welcome at the show as long as they are kept on a lead at all times and you clean up after them.
