PHANTASMAGORIA INTERACTIVE FILM EVENINGS

Isle of Wight College F6RM students together with Quay Arts, are holding three unique film experiences revolving around the theme of invention. Each night will be themed around the particular screening and will include engaging installations to heighten the viewing for the audience.

Phantasmagoria will be showing James Whales’ Frankenstein (1931), Joe Johnston’s Honey I Shrunk the Kids (1989) and Martin Scorceses’s Hugo (2011) consecutively over the summer months. Before the screening of Frankenstein, Phantasmagoria will also be showing George Melies’: A Trip to the Moon (1902) accompanied with a live score.

This showcase of early film will offer the audience an educational experience about the world of cinema. Phantasmagoria are a group combined of AS and A2 Film students who have volunteered to share their knowledge of cinema with members of the public.
