art2artz (CIC) - is a Community Arts Studio and Gallery (A not-for-Profits Community Interest Company)

Our mission is to offer 'arts for all' by supporting local groups in need - particularly people with additional learning or emotional needs and to support youth art activities by subsidising exhibition space and marketing for individuals work.

Creative art sessions are held at 11am Tues-Thurs, with extra support available on Tuesdays.

Taught by an experienced teacher, counsellor and therapist, qualified to aid people with additional needs.

Open Tues - Thurs 10-1pm and 3.30-5pm. Saturday 10 - 5. These are Island times so may change, like the tide!

A new community studio and gallery has opened in Sandown and it’s creating a big buzz locally! Offering creative activities for all, ‘Kidz Artz Parties’ and light, airy display space for local arts and crafts people, the studio on the corner of Albert Road and the High Street ‘is the ideal place to Relax, Relate and Create’ says manager, Eileen Schaff.

‘We are thrilled with the interest and support from local residents who love having a new friendly arts centre in the centre of town where they can just pop in to chat, buy or simply admire the work! Our plan is for this to become the kind of place where anyone can be supported to express themselves creatively and artists of all styles, ages and backgrounds can display and sell their work – a real community studio!’

Eileen, who previously taught creative skills and personal development at the Isle of Wight College, is also a qualified counsellor, stress therapist and experienced in supporting people with additional, learning or emotional needs. So there’s no excuse for not getting creative now, is there?
