'Down The Rabbit Hole' is a physical theatre and poetry piece that examines mental health and madness through the eyes of Alyss, a person whose external life has forced them to create their own internal wonderland. Split between the real past and the surreal present, Alyss takes us on a journey to discover what initially caused them to fall down the rabbit hole of depression, and their search for the key to get back to reality.

Accompanied by recordings from Canadian musicians and spoken word artists, Alyss goes back and forth in time until we finally see the trigger that tipped Alyss over the edge and set the fall in motion.

The piece has been created to open a safe space to discuss and challenge ideas and stereotypes that come with the term mental illness. Ash Alberg, the creator and performer, will be available after each show to provide a space for talk-back and dialogue.
